Oak Island, Nova Scotia, has been a treasure hunter’s dream since the late 1700s. Rumor has it that the island is home to a great buried treasure – anything from pirate gold to Shakespearean manuscripts to possibly the Holy Grail or the Ark of the Covenant. Explorers welcome, but beware: legend has it that seven men will die before the treasure is found.
 
This set of 6 oak coasters displays a map of the island including such well-known sites as the Money Pit, Nilan’s Cross, and the grid lines of the island’s lots. Each coaster is 4"L x 4"W x 3 1/2"H for a total map size of 12” x 4”. They come in at a total weight of 1lb 4oz.
 
All of the wood that we use in our shop comes from trees that have been selectively harvested. Each piece of wood we select is recovered from the forest using sustainable harvesting techniques that will ensure the protection and longevity of the rest of the trees, preserving the beauty of nature for future generations. Each set of Oak Island coasters is custom-made upon order. Variations in the natural wood are to be expected.
