When the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia of Nashville, Tennessee sent four sisters to teach in the Grand Traverse Catholic Schools system, Magnum Lignum was asked to create a number of pieces for the convent chapel.  The convent is named Our Lady of the Lake Convent.

We were able to provide them with an altar, an ambo (podium) a credence table and two pews.  The pews are quarter-sawn red oak, and all of the other pieces are cherry with walnut crosses.  We also provided them with a sign for the convent.

The elementary school was in need of a rosary station for one of their new classrooms, which needed to be custom built to work around existing obstructions on the wall.  We responded with a beautiful solid maple two-part rosary station with a CNC-carved epoxy inlay of the Blessed Mother.

In addition, the high school has a prayer station that needed a new top.  We provided a unique spalted maple/flat black epoxy top custom cut to fit their existing piece.
